At an altitude of 500m, a dummy with the dry mass of Compass was dropped out of a model aircraft. The drogue chute decelerated the dummy down to 26 m\/s and the main chute to 3.3 m\/s. The parachutes had already been tested in the IAG wind tunnel and the drogue parachute ejection system had been tested on ground a few weeks ago.
